Uma Nota Cultural (Brazil) is a reference point for lovers of music, food, movement and storytelling.
This free event is not about tourism… it’s about real people (Brazilians) that want to share Brazil (experiences, food/beverage, music, movement, stories, and issues) with you.
Think cross-cultural understanding, and cross-genre experimentation to edutain you in inclusive/fun environment.
What's included?
- A short doc on the world's largest rainforest, why it's in jeopardy, and the people trying to save it
- Brazilians in Calgary with Inspiring Stories (Inspiring Stories of Courage, Change and Triumph)
- Vendor Presentation (how the business came to be -- from Brazil to Calgary)
- Live Brazilian Music (acoustic guitar, singing)
- Learn Basic Portuguese
- Food & Drink Demo (Learn to make Brazilian Cheese Bread & Caipirinha (contains alcohol))
- Capeiera (Demo and Quick Group Lesson)
- Axé (Demo and Quick Group Lesson)
- Gift Bag with Brazilian Goodies
All this in 3 hours at no cost… time will go by quick because you’ll be learn and have fun at the same time.
One registration per person.
